Shipping minister Mansukh Mandaviya to head Health Ministry in the reshuffled Union Cabinet

Mansukh Mandaviya, the current union minister for ports, shipping and waterways, will be in charge of the Health Ministry & Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers in the reshuffled union cabinet. As many as 43 ministers took oath in a major cabinet expansion-cum-reshuffle drive on Wednesday, after several Union ministers, including the existing Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan.

In the new cabinet set up, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will monitor the Ministry of Science & Technology, while Amit Shah will monitor the Ministry of Cooperation, in addition to the Home Ministry.

Other cabinet ministers, who took oath in the reshuffled government include Jyotiraditya Scindia (Civil Aviation), Ashwini Vaishnav (Railway, IT, Telecom), Piyush Goyal (Textile), Hardeep Singh Puri (Petroleum), Anurag Thakur (Sports, Youth Affairs and I&B), Meenakshi Lekhi (MoS External Affairs), Dharmendra Pradhan (Education), Giriraj Singh (Rural Development), Smriti Irani (Woman and Child Development), Bhupender Yadav ( Labor), Pashupati Paras (Food Processing Industries), Kiren Rijiju ( Law and Order), Sarbananda Sonowal (Ports, Shipping and waterways, and AYUSH

The new Modi Cabinet will meet at 5 pm on Thursday, while the Council of Ministers will meet at 7 pm.
