The National Testing Agency will declare the results of the National Entrance cum Eligibility Test (NEET) 2020 on October 16, according to the Supreme court.
The country’s apex court also has allowed conducting of the second phase of the NEET exam on 14 October for students residing in covid-19 containment zones and was not able to give the exams earlier.
After being postponed multiple times due to the turmoil of the pandemic, NEET 2020 was finally held on September 13 across several test centres in the country. NEET is an entrance test conducted to admit students in various undergraduate medical courses at government medical institutions in India. Nearly 90% of the registered applicants appeared for the exams this time.
The results of NEET 2020 will be published on the official website at nta.neet.nic.in.
Candidates, who belong to the General or unreserved category, need at least 50 percentile to be eligible for counselling. Whereas, those from SC/ST/OBC need 40 percentile to be eligible for counselling. The NTA has already released the scanned images of phase 1 NEET OMR sheets for students verification purposes.
