India reported 37,164 new COVID-19 cases on Monday. The overall reported infections in the country stood at 85,91,075 as of now. According to the data from the Union Health Ministry, as many as 41,450 patients have been recuperated yesterday taking the total recoveries to 79,57,206. The total active infections add up to 5,04,916 and the total deaths due to the pandemic reached 1,27,104 with 450 recent deaths.
Delhi, on Monday, reported 5,023 new COVID-19 cases taking the total cases to 4,43,552. Also, 71 more deaths have been reported, taking the total number of deaths to 7,060. Of the total cases, 3,96,697 people have recovered and there are 39,795 active cases. The positivity rate (percentage of people testing positive for every 100 tests done) was 12.8%, as per government data.
West Bengal reported 3,907 new COVID-19 cases taking the total cases to 4,09,221.The active cases dropped to 34,021. As the state recorded 56 deaths, the fatality toll reached 7,350. The state saw 4,396 recoveries yesterday taking the total recoveries to 3,67,850.
Kerala reported 3,593 new cases of COVID-19 after testing 32,489 samples on Monday. The test positivity rate remained at 11.05% on the day. The addition of 22 deaths took the cumulative COVID-19 toll to 1,715. The total caseload rose to 4,89,703 with the active infections at 79,412. The total recoveries have reached 4,08,460 with 5,983 of them being discharged yesterday.
Maharashtra reported 3,277 new COVID-19 cases on Monday taking the total case tally to 17,23,135. The number of active cases stood at 99,564. With 85 deaths, the state’s death toll has reached 45,325.
Karnataka on Monday reported 1,963 new cases and 19 new deaths. The overall case tally has reached 8,48,850 and the active cases stood at 32,936. The total recoveries seen till now has risen to 8,04,485 and the death toll climbed to 11,410.
Andhra Pradesh reported 1,392 new infections on Monday. The cumulative tally took to 8,44,359 with 21,235 active infections. The state has seen 8,16,322 recoveries and 6,802 deaths from COVID-19 to date.
