India’s COVID-19 caseload went past 9.1 million to reach 91,40,312 on Sunday. The nation reported 44,404 new COVID-19 incidences, and the overall active cases totalled to 4,43,033 as of now. Meanwhile, the number of people who have recuperated from the virus infection reached 85,61,444, according to the Union Health Ministry data. The death toll climbed to 1,33,773 with 510 new fatalities.
Delhi reported 6,746 new COVID-19 infections, 6,154 recoveries and 121 deaths on Sunday. The case tally escalated to 5,29,863, of which 40,212 are active infections. The total recoveries have reached 4,81,260 and the deaths stood at 8,391.
Maharashtra reported 5,753 positive infections on Sunday. The overall case tally stood at 17,80,208 with 81,512 active infections. As many as 4,060 patients saw recovery during the day taking the total recoveries to 16,51,064. 50 new deaths took the overall deaths due to the pandemic in the state to 46,623.
With 5,254 new incidences reported on Sunday, Kerala’s cumulative case burden soared to 5,62,696. The state had tested over 48,000 samples on the day. 6,227 recoveries were reported during the day. So far, 4,94,664 persons who contracted COVID-19 recovered from their disease. The active caseload stood at 65,864 cases. The state’s cumulative death toll rose to 2,050, with the addition of 27 more deaths.
West Bengal added 3,591 new infections taking the total caseload to 4,56,361. The active infections stood at 25,207 in the state. As many as 3,726 patients were recovered yesterday while 49 patients succumbed to ailments from the infection. The total recoveries went up to 4,23,129 till now and the fatalities totalled 8,025.
Rajasthan saw 3,260 positive cases on Sunday pushing its COVID case tally to 2,43,936. Of the total caseload 23,190 are active infections at present with 2,18,583 patients getting recovered and 2,163 succumbing to the infection, as per the data from the state health ministry.
Uttar Pradesh added new cases at 2,557 pushing the caseload to 5,26,780. The active infections stood at 23,806 with 4,95,415 recoveries and 7,559 fatalities reported so far.
