India logs 43,504 new cases on Thursday

India reported 43,504 fresh COVID-19 incidences and 908 deaths on Thursday. The country has recorded 3,07,52,108 SARS CoV2 infections so far. The overall fatalities from the pandemic have reached 4,05,967. The active infection load presently comprised 4,53,210 cases, according to data from the union health ministry.

With 13,772 new incidences, Kerala reported the highest daily Covid cases on Thursday. The total number of infections has climbed to 30,25,466, active infections comprised 1,10,141 cases. As many as 142 deaths were recorded during the day taking the total fatalities to 14,250.

As many as 9,083 fresh cases and 439 fatalities were reported in Maharashtra on Thursday. The total number of deaths from COVID-19 rose to 1,24,296 in the state. The total cases reported from the state has reached 61,31,976, of which 1,14,444 are active cases.

Other states which reported more than 1000 cases on Thursday included Tamil Nadu (3,211), Andhra Pradesh (2,982), Assam (2,644), Odisha (2,542) and Karnataka (2,530).
