India recorded 3,92,576 COVID-19 cases and 3,685 deaths on Saturday

India reported 3,92,576 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday. As many as 3,685 deaths were reported on the day taking the overall fatalities to 2,11,838. The total confirmed cases soared to 1,95,49,773 in the country. The active infection load comprised 33,43,860 cases.

Maharashtra reported 63,282 new cases on Saturday. The total case tally of the state rose to 46,65,754 while the active infection load comprised 6,63,758 cases. A total of 802 deaths were recorded on the day taking the overall fatalities to 69,615.

A total of 30,180 new cases were reported in Uttar Pradesh on the day taking the confirmed cases to 12,82,504. The active cases stood at 3,01,833. As many as 38,826 discharges and 304 deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours taking the death toll to 12,874.

Delhi saw 25,219 new cases on Saturday. As many as 412 recent deaths took the overall fatalities to 16,559. The total caseload of the city has reached 11,74,552 while the active infection load comprised 96,747 cases.

Karnataka confirmed 40,990 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 15,64,132. The active cases of the state have surged to 4,05,068. As many as 271 deaths reported on the day took the total fatalities to 15,794.

The active infections in Kerala surged to 3,23,827 on Saturday. The state added 35,636 new incidences and 48 deaths on the day. The case tally went up to 16,06,820 while the death toll has reached 5,357.

Other states which also reported a spike in fresh cases on Saturday included Tamil Nadu (19,588 new cases), Andhra Pradesh (19,412), Rajasthan (17,652), West Bengal (17,512), Chhattisgarh (15,902), Gujarat (13,847), Bihar (13,789), Haryana (13,588), Madhya Pradesh (12,379), Odisha (10,413), Telangana (7,754), Punjab (7,017), Jharkhand (6,323), Assam (3,453), Uttarakhand (5,493), Jammu and Kashmir (3,832), Himachal Pradesh (2,751), Goa (2,303) and Puducherry (1,379).
