Rajastan, UP, HP report spike in new COVID-19 infections

India reported 44,245 new COVID-19 incidences on Tuesday pushing the case tally to 91,77,753. Of the total caseload, the overall active cases remained at 4,43,765 as of now. Meanwhile, the number of people who have recuperated from the virus infection has reached 86,41,404 with 37,765 patients getting recovered yesterday. The death toll climbed to 1,34,743 with 489 new fatalities.

Delhi reported 6,224 new cases on Tuesday after conducting around 61,400 tests taking the total number of cases to 5,40,541. Also, 109 more deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths to 8,621. Of the total cases, 4,93,419 people have recovered and there are 38,501 active cases.

With 5,439 new incidences, Maharashtra’s cumulative case burden escalated to 17,89,800. The state had tested over 85,000 samples on the day. 4,086 recoveries were reported during the day. So far,16,58,879 persons who contracted COVID-19 have recuperated from the infection. The active caseload stood at 83,221 cases. The state’s cumulative death toll rose to 46,683, with the addition of 30 more deaths.

Kerala reported 5,420 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday after conducting around 60,000 tests, as opposed to 5,149 recoveries. The total case tally has risen to 5,71,873 with the number of active cases climbing to 64,421. The cumulative recoveries stand at 5,05,238. 24 recent deaths took the total fatalities to 2,096.

West Bengal added 3,545 new infections taking the total caseload to 4,63,463. The state had conducted 44,600 tests during the day. The active infections stood at 24,880 in the state. As many as 3,646 patients were recovered yesterday while 49 patients succumbed to ailments related to the infection. The total recoveries went up to 4,30,462 till now and the fatalities totalled 8,121.

Rajasthan saw 3,314 positive cases on Tuesday pushing its COVID-19 case tally to 2,50,482. Of the total caseload 25,197 are active infections at present with 2,23,085 patients getting recovered and 2,200 succumbing to the infection so far.

Uttar Pradesh added new cases at 2,217 pushing the caseload to 5,31,050. The active infections stood at 23,928 with 4,99,507 recoveries and 7,615 fatalities reported so far.

With 2,329 new COVID incidences the caseload of Haryana rose to 2,22,292. The active cases stood at 20,765 with 1,99,278 recoveries and 2,249 deaths reported till now.

The active infections in Himachal Pradesh spiked to 7,150 on Tuesday with 948 new cases seeing an increase of nearly 500 incidences compared to 454 infections reported on Monday. The overall recoveries stood at 27,981 and deaths reached 562. The caseload of the state stood at 35,729.
