Paras acquires Fortis JK Udaipur for Rs 50 crore

Paras Healthcare has acquired Fortis J K Hospital, Udaipur for Rs 50 crore.

The hospital, which will now be called Paras J K Hospital, will offer extended secondary and tertiary care services to the population of Udaipur and adjoining areas.

Paras has announced that it will invest Rs 100 crore for the upgradation of the hospital, of which Rs 50 crore has already been invested in the 200-bed facility. The hospital is equipped with an advanced cath lab, MRI, CT, 4 modular OTs, dialysis and 30 ICU beds. 

The additional investment outlay will be spent on setting up an advanced Cancer Care unit, an additional cath lab as well as an IVF unit.

Paras J K Hospital, Udaipur furthers our objective of establishing advanced tertiary care facilities in underserved Tier II and Tier III cities of India,” says Dr Dharminder Nagar, Managing Director, Paras Healthcare, in the press release. 

Oncology will be a key specialty for the hospital. Other key clinical programmes include cardiology, cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, neurology, gastroenterology, nephrology, urology and minimally invasive surgery. 

The hospital is also planning to set up trauma and critical care in the region.

With the acquisition of the hospital, Paras has expanded its presence to 6 cities across India with 9 hospitals operating across these cities.
