IDSA launches new COVID-19 real-time learning website for cliniciansSeptember 19, 2020 0 By FM
The Infectious Diseases Society of America (ISDA) has recently launched a new COVID-19 Real-Time Learning Network microsite for frontline clinicians with support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The information provided on the website is curated by a multidisciplinary team of experts with the goal to help clinicians from a variety of disciplines and other decision-makers coordinate their response to the pandemic. The site brings together the latest clinical guidance, institutional protocols, clinical trials data, practice tools and resources from a variety of medical subspecialties around the world, announced the ISDA.
The website provides links to a variety of interactive programs and learning opportunities for clinicians not only practising in infectious diseases, but also in critical care, emergency medicine, and other specialities.
“As this pandemic evolves, our efforts to fight it must represent a coordinated effort across the entire medical community. IDSA is proud to work with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to create a platform for sharing the very latest experience and research from every field of medicine,” said Thomas M File, Jr. MD., MSc, FIDSA
In addition to its medical editors, the information on the site (www.COVID19LearningNetwork.org.) is guided by the multi-disciplinary advisory group involving medical representatives from 11 medical societies including American Academy of Family Physicians, Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society of America, American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Emergency Physicians, American College of Physicians, American Geriatrics Society, American Thoracic Society, Society for Critical Care Medicine, Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America, Society for Hospital Medicine, and the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists.
