India logs 45,724 new cases on WednesdayJuly 8, 2021 0 By FM
India reported 45,724 fresh COVID-19 incidences and 819 deaths on Wednesday. The country has recorded 3,07,08,627 SARS CoV2 infections so far. The overall fatalities from the pandemic have reached 4,05,059. The active infection load presently comprised 4,54,888 cases, according to data from the union health ministry.
With 15,600 new incidences, Kerala reported the highest daily Covid cases on Wednesday. The total number of infections has climbed to 30,11,694, active infections comprised 1,07,928 cases. As many as 148 deaths were recorded during the day taking the total fatalities to 14,108.
As many as 9,558 fresh cases and 326 fatalities were reported in Maharashtra on Wednesday. The total number of deaths from COVID-19 rose to 1,23,857 in the state. The total cases reported from the state has reached 61,22,893, of which 1,14,625 are active cases.
Other states which reported more than 1000 cases on Wednesday included Tamil Nadu (3,367), Andhra Pradesh (3,166), Karnataka (2,743), Odisha (2,602) and Assam (2,289).
