India: New SARS-CoV-2 infections at 50,817 on TuesdayJune 23, 2021 0 By FM
India reported 50,817 fresh COVID-19 incidences on Tuesday. The country has recorded 3,00,27,883 COVID-19 cases so far. The active infection load presently comprised 6,37,903 cases, according to data from the union health ministry. As many as 1,359 deaths were also recorded on the day taking the overall fatalities from the pandemic to 3,90,691.
Kerala reported 12,617 new incidences on Tuesday. The total number of infections has reached 28,29,461, active infections comprised 1,00,435 cases. As many as 141 deaths were recorded during the day taking the total fatalities to 12,296.
As many as 8,470 fresh cases and 482 fatalities were reported in Maharashtra on Tuesday. The total number of deaths from COVID-19 has surged to 1,18,795 in the state. The total cases reported from the state has reached 59,87,521, of which 1,23,340 are active cases.
Tamil Nadu recorded 6,895 new incidences on Tuesday. As many as 194 deaths were recorded during the day taking the total fatalities to 31,580. The total case tally has reached 24,36,819, of which 56,886 are active infections.
Other states which reported more than 1000 cases on Tuesday included Andhra Pradesh (4,169), Karnataka (3,709), Odisha (2,957), Assam (2,869), West Bengal (1,852) and Telangana (1,175).
