India logs 1.31 lakh COVID-19 cases on ThursdayJune 4, 2021 0 By FM
India reported 1,31,280 new COVID-19 incidences on Thursday. The country has reported 2,85,72,359 such cases so far, according to data from the union health ministry. The active infection load presently comprised 16,31,427 cases. As many as 2,705 fatalities were recorded during the day pushing the overall death toll due to the pandemic to 3,40,719.
Tamil Nadu recorded 24,405 new incidences on Thursday. The total case tally has reached 21,23,029 active infections comprised 2,80,426 cases. As many as 460 deaths were recorded during the day taking the total fatalities to 25,665.
Kerala reported 18,853 new incidences and 153 deaths on Thursday. The total caseload has reached 25,84,854 of which 1,84,644 are active infections. The death toll has reached 9,376.
Other states which also reported a spike in fresh cases on Thursday included Karnataka (18,324), Maharashtra (15,229), Andhra Pradesh (11,421), Odisha (8,839), West Bengal (8,811), Assam (4,309), Telangana (2,261), Punjab (2,144), Chhattisgarh (1,619), Rajasthan (1,258), Uttar Pradesh (1,220), Gujarat (1,207), Jammu and Kashmir (1,801) and Bihar (1,106).
