India’s COVID-19 cases decline to 2,63 L on Monday; deaths rise to 4,334

With this, the total confirmed cases in the nation has climbed to 2,52,28,100, according to data from the union health ministry. The active infection load comprised 33,48,890 cases. While the overall death toll due to COVID-19 has reached 2,78,751.
Karnataka confirmed 38,603 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 22,42,065. The active cases of the state have surged to 6,03,639. As many as 476 new deaths reported on the day took the total fatalities to 22,313.
Kerala reported 21,402 new COVID-19 cases on Monday. The overall caseload reported till now has reached 21,69,370. The active caseload of the state comprised 3,62,313 cases. Also, 87 new deaths pushed the death toll to 6,516.
Other states which also reported a spike in fresh cases on Monday included West Bengal (19,003), Andhra Pradesh (18,561), Rajasthan (11,597), Odisha (10,757), Uttar Pradesh (9,345), Delhi (4,524), Chhattisgarh (6,577), Gujarat (7,135), Madhya Pradesh (5,921), Haryana (7,488), Bihar (5,920), Telangana (3,961), Punjab (6,881), Assam (6,394), Jharkhand (2,507), Uttarakhand (3,719), Jammu and Kashmir (3,344), Himachal Pradesh (3,546), Goa (1,562), and Puducherry (1,446).
