India reported 42,784 fresh COVID-19 positive incidences on Tuesday pushing farther the cumulative caseload to 79,88,853. According to the Health Ministry, the active COVID-19 infections in the country currently adds up to 6,10,242. The number of patients recovered from the disease has risen to 72,57,194 with 58,178 patients getting cured/discharged yesterday. The number of fatalities due to pandemic mounted to 1,20,054 in all with 510 recent death reported in the past 24 hrs.
Maharashtra’s COVID-19 tally on Tuesday jumped to 16,54,028 with 5,363 new cases. The number of active COVID-19 infections in the state stood at 1,31,544. A total of 7,836 patients were discharged during the day, taking the reported cumulative recoveries to 14,78,496. The state reported 115 deaths, taking the toll to 43,463.
Andhra Pradesh reported 2,901 new COVID-19 infections and 19 deaths in the past 24 hours, taking the tally to 8,11,825 and toll to 6,625. The active cases under treatment dipped below 30,000 yesterday reaching 27,300. The number of recoveries also increased to 7,77,900, with 4,352 new recoveries in the last 24 hours.
Karnataka on Saturday added 3,691 new COVID-19 incidences on Tuesday pushing the caseload to 8,09,638. The active infections added up to 71,330 as the number of recovered patients on Tuesday stood at 7,740 while 44 lives were lost to the viral infection. The overall death toll stood at 10,991 and the recoveries seen have reached 7,27,298.
Tamil Nadu added 2,522 new cases, 27 deaths and 4,029 recoveries on Tuesday. The state’s tally stood at 7,14,235. In the last 24 hours. The active COVID-19 cases under treatment in the state stood at 27,734. The total fatalities stand at 10,983 in all as of now and the recoveries have reached 6,75,518.
Kerala reported 5,457 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday. The overall case tally surpassed 4 lakhs reaching 4,02,675 with active infections standing at 92,163. The total recoveries have reached 3,09,032 with 7,015 patients reportedly recovering from the infection. The state added 24 deaths to its COVID-19 toll on Tuesday pushing the total fatalities to 1,377.
