India, on Tuesday, reported 11,039 new COVID-19 incidences. With this, the total case tally has risen to 1,07,78,206, of which 1,57,355 are active infections. The total recoveries have reached 1,04,61,706, with 14,256 new discharges recorded yesterday. As many as 113 deaths took the total fatalities to 1,54,635.
Maharashtra reported 1,927 new incidences on Tuesday pushing its total case burden to 20,30,274. The active cases have declined to 41,586. As many as 4,011 new discharges were recorded yesterday taking the overall recoveries to 19,36,305. With 30 new fatalities, the death toll climbed to 51,139.
Kerala reported 5,716 new infections on Tuesday. While the total caseload has risen to 9,38,354, the active cases stood at 69,169. As many as 8,65,168 recoveries have been recorded so far and the death toll has reached 3,777.
A total of 19,84,73,178 samples tested for COVID-19 up to February 2. Of these, 7,21,121 samples were tested yesterday, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
